Mountains
A paragon of majestic beauty with snow capped crown,
Exhibiting nobleness with your magnitude.
Mysterious in morning mist,
Vivacious with setting sun,
Inspiring a painter’s passion,
A vision to be captured.
With eerie silence you beckon to be conquered,
Yet unrelenting to those who dare to try,
Refusing to summit gracefully,
Demanding reverence from man and beast.
Having no equal in Gods creation,
You soar above the clouds paying homage to the creator.

Sisters’
Lindsay and Chelsea, two peas in a pod;
What one doesn’t think of, the other one does.
At school or at play, they’re always together.
Folks say they’re just like birds of a feather.
Lindsay’s the bold one, Chelsea is shy,
But they both have eyes as blue as the sky.
In their own little world they play for hours
In a make believe kingdom with castles and towers.
They dress like fair maidens in long flowing dresses,
And dance for hours with handsome young princes.
And when the ball is finally over,
They ride on white horses through daisies and clovers.
They hold afternoon teas with all their dollies,
Then take them for rides on little red trolleys.
With pencils and paper and crayons and glue
They make pretty pictures and birthday cards, too.
They love to work puzzles, to ride on their bikes;
To swim in their pond, to go on long hikes.
Lindsay and Chelsea, two golden haired girls
Who like to wear braids and long flowing curls.
Someday they’ll grow up, maybe move far apart,
But miles will never distance the heart.
They’ll always be close, through thick and through thin,
Because they are sisters and are joined from within.

Another Day
Good Morning Sweet Jesus
It’s so good to be alive,
To feel the sun on my cheek
and the tears in my eye.
If only my illness would
allow me time to play,
Good morning sweet Jesus,
thank you for another day.
I have this pain within me,
some time it hurts so strong,
I often wonder how a little boy
could have gone wrong.
They say I have Cancer,
a word I don’t even know,
They tell me I am dying
but I am not ready to go.
I have sand castles to build,
model airplanes to fly,
Little puppies to play with,
and fly kites in the sky.
I have places to see
and games to play,
Oh, if I could have
just one more day.
I know I am dying,
but I don’t know when,
It’s hard to understand,
when you’re only ten.
Mom and Dad, they are strong,
they hide their tears
with a smile a mile long.
I’ll try to fill all my dreams
in the time I have left,
And to love all my family
and the people I’ve met.
To cherish the morning
and the sun’s ray.
Thank You Sweet Jesus for Another Day!!!
